Ran activate.exe to register software (no need to run as admin)
Software installed cleanly on Windows 7 32bit.
Scanned clean with Nod32 AntiVirus - no issues.
Program shows as registered with selecting Help About (or click on register)
Tested playing YouTube videos. Software detected the videos were playing and recorded them.
Recorded Videos played back without issue.
Converted flv to divx ok (about 220fps)
divx played back ok
set pc date/time forward 6 months to test for license expiry - tested ok.

WARNING WOT (Web-of-Trust), which is a community of ordinary internet users, have voted the developer site http://www.recordstreamingvideo.net/ to be untrustworthy and have bad reputation. So be warned that the company behind today's offer has upset a lot of it's users, making them vote that way.
This is not a Streaming Video Recorder, because it does not record anything. It's a Video Grabber, or Downloader.
Still getting Bad Gateway a lot of times before being able to download.
Not able to give wotes, even though I'm logged in. Always getting a popup saying "please try again later".
Both these problems have been reported before, and removed by the moderator. About time to fix them now!!
This is superb.
Early testing against VideoGet which I have had for 2 years and this beats the pants off VideoGet. The quality is perfect, both sound and audio.
Too early to say for certain, but looks like VideoGet's days are numbered (for me anyway). They do work differently, but for what I need, this is a winner.
Oh, I haven't even read the instructions as to how to use it yet. It's so simple to do the basics.

If you want a downloader that gets everything, use Mozilla Firefox internet browser. There's an add on for it called Net Video Hunter, I have yet to come across a video, Mp3, ect. downloader that works as well as this one does. After 2 years of using it, I have yet to come across a video that this thing didn't get. So far This add-on has worked 100% of the time. Plus with all the options in add-ons and themes, this browser beats Internet Explore hands down.
The software installed OK on Windows XP SP3. Unfortunately that is just about the only good thing I can say about it. First it suffered a problem and had to close (I put something in wrong and the error was not trapped.) Once I got started again I found that it was completely incapable of recording streams from the BBC or RTE (Ireland). To be honest I did not bother with You Tube since there are so many things that are free and can record these.
Basically it does NOT do what it says on the tin. WOT suggests you don't even go to their site which is not a good pointer. The help menu does not give you a clue as it only has About etc.
The license key should you actually want to keep this is in the registry under HKCU/Software/Streaming Video Recorder. 2 entries, license and user name.
Interestingly when it uninstalls, these are the two keys it leaves behind - presumably since they are created after the initial installation.
Definitely not worth the money :-)

Non capisco perchè continuano a fare programmi del genere quando il 90% delle persone che bastano siti tipo clipnabber ecc... che fanno tutto.
Se invece vuoi registrare una DIRETTA streaming, tipo una videoconferenza in DIRETTA, usate webvideocap.
