@Macs-PC: How dumb is that? Would you think a little diamond should be cheaper than a large brick? How can you judge a prog by its size?!?
So let me get this right... We're now judging programs by the file size? If you're an author and you optimize your program by writing it in assembly (which is a LOT more difficult than using a common/procedural language, and makes the program SMALLER and run FASTER), they rip us off, because the app is smaller?
Back on topic, there are plenty of free alternatives that work well (eg. EASUS Recovery Tool or Piriform's Recuva).

I want to aologise for the missunderstanding I've caused with my FIRST post.
My complaint was not about the file size - it was THE PRICE - this kind of software is FAR CHEAPER than the minimum of $69.00
When I said that others were more substantial - I meant in features - not file size - indeed a couple of the FREE Programs I listed are smaller than 4 Meg !
The miss-understanding was completely MY FAULT - I was in a rush & I wasn't concentrating on what I was saying.
My Point was that BETTER programs exist - much cheaper & even FREE. Obviously the file size itself is not the issue. I use several tools which are not even a full Meg !!!
I SHOULD NEVER HAVE MENTIONED THE FILE SIZE - it wasn't important !!!
I apologise again - I should have taken more time to think about what I was trying to convey !
I am well aware I'm a muppet ! NOT a complete Muppet - coz some parts are obviously missing. :o)
Anyway - I'm big enough to admit when I've screwed up & I can assure you I'll take more care in future!
Yesterday my posts got over EIGHTY positive points for one reason - I always aim to help others to the best of my ability - one post took me three hours+ to type. I'm pleased to say my screw-ups are very few on this forum & I intend to keep it that way !
You only have to look at my SECOND post today to see that I tried to provide as much usefull info for you - the users in a small post.
Helping is my way - NOT putting peoples backs up ! SORRY !
I am actually very busy right now BUT I wanted to take a few minutes to put right my mistake instead of leaving the problem un-resolved.
If THIS post gets minus points - it's NOT because I didn't try to make ammends. I can do no more than apologise - you guys deserve better from me & thankfully - usually - you get it !
I hope you can accept this post for what I intend it to be - a genuine admittance of wrong doing & a genuine apology to match !
Anyway - I'm off back to my jobs.

The first thing i thought when i saw today's offer, is how much better a recovery tool that costs $89.99, can be from a recovery tool that is free, like recuva for example.
Because the software is very easy to install (and uninstall) and has no activation procedures, i would recommend to try it and compare it with a free recovery tool.
Personally i will stick with recuva, although this software also has a tool for repairing corrupted e-mail databases. But then again, if you use oultlook, this tool is already in your computer. You will find it if you search your computer for the scanpst.exe file and run it.
But the main reason that made me unistall it, is because after each selection i made, in order to try the software, the program was opening my browser and directed to the developers page.
In my opinion, the developer should have avoided this annoying function and also should have a more realistic price for this software.

Ho installato il programma su Windows XP Pro - SP3
Al riavvio il modulo residente "esdrwstt.exe" di wGXe Data Recovery va sempre in crash (... una volta si è anche riavviato il computer da solo)
Ho disabilitato l'avvio del programma tramite "MSConfig" (Start->Esegui e digitare "Msconfig" ) e il programma sembra comunque funzionare.
Ho preferito ugualmente disinstallare il programma...
inutile usare un programma che funziona a metà e che può dare problemi al sistema operativo.

mm... allora, la grafica è buona semplice e intuitiva.
Una pecca del software è che non lavora in background ne la finestra si può abbassare...
Poi è abbastanza lento nel recuperare i file e la progressbar (almeno a me) parte dopo 2-3 minuti di attesa
Sinceramente non so che giudizio dare :/

Buongiorno a tutti. Qualcuno di voi sà se il software odierno sia anche in grado di recuperare contenuti da CD e DVD divenuti "misteriosamente" illeggibili? E non per presenza di graffi o danni fisici, intendo.
