The AI bots are trained by humans. Humans who can have an agenda. Is the information used publicly available? Yes. Has that information been properly vetted before being fed to the bots?? We do not know for certain. Has additional non publicly disclosed information been fed to the bots without vetting?? Again we do not know for certain.

For people to put trust in AI is going to take time. It is going to take non AI affliated humans to vet AI. But to come on here and state ". Of course, some of it may be incorrect (like your statement)" is wrong.

In roughly half of my queries, across a wide range of subjects, the AIs produced plausible-sounding but inaccurate responses. They are designed to produce something plausible that meets their users' expectations, and these companies don't seem very interested in changing this (fatal) flaw. Instead, they add more bells and whistles and incorporate AI into more elements of our lives. Perplexity.ai is more accurate, but it still draws inferences from its sources -- which it reveals -- that aren't accurate, and it doesn't distinguish between some user's comment on reddit and a trustworthy source.

I've been a fan of artificial intelligence since I first read about cybernetics in third grade, in 1959, but never did I imagine it would be designed to produce "alternative facts."

Using this program in the past it finds too many PUPs, programs that are not used often. It is thorough but you have to know which programs you wish to keep and those you wished removed. In other words, you need to know what you're doing.
