I tried Primopdf before, It's a totally adware, which tempted users to buy Nitro PDF Pro. I don't like such kind of software.

Installed and activated fine on 32 bit XP Pro sp 3.
#13 John, you are correct, if you have Open Office you can export your docs to PDF. But, you would have trouble opening an EDraw Flowchart/ Drawing for example in OOffice and therefore wouldn't be able to use it to produce a PDF.
This is a printer driver, so any program you have which has the functionality to print will be able to produce a PDF. You need only select 'Simpo PDF Creator' from the print dialog box and print.
I use CutePDF Writer, only because it is free and performs the task well. I've tried Simpo PDF today and it performs equally well. I tested it on a flowchart from EDraw, a spreadsheet and a word document. Each had some graphics, text formatting (bullet points etc) and links. Simpo did the job.
Cons, none really other than the price. I know it's free today and it's a good offer, but anyone who requires something like this would probably search the net and come up with many of the free alternatives before coming across this product.
Thumbs up for doing what it's intended to do, thumbs down on the normal retail price.
This program is excellent. Beats out the $300 Acrobat in terms of basic functionality, and much better than PDF995, which forces you to go to its website or wait a number of minutes after each use. Thanks GAOTD!

I have, and use CutePDF. But it doesn't give any security options to stop people from printing, changing, or copying my document. Simpo PDF does.
Downloaded, registered, and installed fine with no problems at all on XP Home, SP3.
Tessted it, everything works like it's supposed to.
I'm happy with it so far. Thanks GAOTD and Simpo.

This program is no bad at all and in fact it’s not an accident that on SOFTPEDIA 5 users gave it a “VERY GOOD” rating (4.6/5) despite being SHAREWARE:

So once again the GAOTD USER RATING is FALSE and MISLEADING because doesn’t reflect the real value of the program, probably because most of GAOTD visitors use OPEN OFFICE instead of Microsoft OFFICE and as a result of this they find this program useless…..right??
Well just wondering what has this to do with the features of the program!!
PEOPLE should first TRY the program and then rate it according to its features and real value and not according to its usefulness!!!
Anyway, an even better FREE ALTERNATIVE may be the award winning eXPert PDF 5 Pro which can exceptionally be downloaded for free following ASHRAF’S instructions here (ASHRAF???? Where are youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu?? LOL!!)

Actually it’s also possible to upgrade to eXPert PDF 6 Pro for free but I’m not 100% sure that this is still possible, as the upgrade to eXPert PDF 6 Pro is kind of tricky and many people didn’t manage to do it properly in the past as you can see from the link below:

@ bamby, scusa ma non ho capito... cmq la dimostrazione è semplice... prendi il link di questa pagina (ad esempio) ed aprilo nei tre browsers (ma anche con altri) salva la stessa pagina in pdf e trova le differenze... non capisco cosa possa centrare la partizione :) magari ho capito male io...

certo che se lo fai in prova sulla sressa partizione che poi a dimostrare quello che afferrmi;;; è discutibile .... comunque provate a salvare con altri programmi scritti ed immagini in alta risoluzione poi .... mi dite

vi annunciamo con grande soddisfazione che l'esperimento è riuscito:
ci si trovi davanti ad una persona che invade ogni spazio libero su internet per inveire su gli altri (es. Fiorella)gli si metta poi vicino una persona apparentemente incompetente che giudica talmente inutile il software del giorno da causare la reazione di tutti
risultato? il disturbatore (es. Fiorella) passa in seondo piano...

Sinceramente, mi associo ai vostri commenti.
Su Winzoz uso doPDF (ora alla versione 6) da anni, stampante virtuale....fa esattamente quel che propone il sw di oggi (tranne la cifratura), anche meglio, ma è free...lo trovate con una googleata sulla rete.
Su Linux c'è la funzione "stampa su file in formato .pdf" in modo nativo.
Perchè la gente non si informa prima di acquistare qualsiasi cosa??
30 dollari è veramente troppo!!! avrei capito 5 dollari!!!

Ragazzi integro subito il mio post... Ho provato il software, funziona come pensavo (teoricamente).
Esistono però, diversi problemi:
1- il risultato è mooooolto scarso;
2- le parole vanno ad accavallarsi completamente una sull'altra se si utilizza google chrome;
3- le parole si accavallano a volte con internet explorer;
4- Con mozilla firefox il risultato è un pò più decente, ma è in ogni caso scarso.
non ho incontrato problemi per ciò che concerne l'installazione e l'attivazione...

dunque, questo software è una "stampante virtuale" che stampa (meglio, salva) su PDF.
esattamente quello che fa, ad esempio,"PDF creator", che è gratis e funziona con qualsiasi software che possa stampare...
Se poi uno ha Office 2007, o usa OpenOffice (anche vecchie versioni), può salvare direttamente in PDF, senza passare per "stampanti virtuali" di nessun tipo.

Buongiorno a tutti, Antonio ma con i programmi che hai indicato non so se puoi, ad esempio, salvare un documento online che deve essere stampato per terminare definitivamente la compilazione. Da quel che ho capito io, questo software è come se sostituisse la stampante e per chi non ce l'ha (o non la può avere in alcune circostanze) potrebbe tornare utile "stampare" un pdf in quel momento e posticipare la stampa vera e propria in seguito.

In effetti non è che si vedeva la necessità di un software come questo, considerando che sulla rete se ne trovano a bizzeffe di gratuiti che hanno le stesse funzioni...
Dove sono finiti i software del livello di Prevx e AVS Video Editor (eccezionale)?

onestamente, piuttosto poco interessante, contando che :
1) office 2007 ha un add-in gratuito per salvare direttamente in PDF
2) OpenOffice salva direttamente in formato PDF
3) esistono altri "driver virtuali" FREE per stampare su PDF (PDF creator, ad esempio)
4) esistono convertitori free e online per convertire in PDF
5) altre alternative che probabilmente mi sfuggono...
