Removes all changes to files, etc.? Maybe I don't understand, but as someone who copy edits texts for a living, I make changes all the time in MS Word files that I want to keep. I turn my computer off every night, so does the morning bootup mean all yesterday's work is lost? What happens to e-mails that get saved to my archives?
Am I missing something here or would I have to exclude any folder that changes during normal operations, e.g., Pictures, Documents, Pegasus mail folders, browser caches, Dropbox, etc.?
Woh...great Job GAOTD team!
Finally a GREAT and VERY USEFUL software for GAOTD users which cannot be replaced easily with FREE ALTERNATIVES.
Very handy tool especially for bloody geeks like me who are engaged to test tons of software on the daily basis but are at the same time worried about the registry integrity of their machines.
The only CONS is of course the fact that it cannot be updated for FREE as every other GAOTD, but this is one of the few shareware out there deserving to be bought!!
4 THUMBS UP for this GAOTD and obviously highly recommended!!
BEST FREEWARE ALTERNATIVES (it would be nice to compare their final performance with this GAOTD in order to see if it's really worth every penny of its price):
http://www.toolwiz.com/products/toolwiz-time-freeze (==> My Personal First Choice because of its user friendliness)
http://www.horizondatasys.com/en/products_and_solutions.aspx?ProductId=18 (==> My Personal First choice because of its effectiveness)
http://www.juzt-reboot.com (just found yesterday by chance...have to try it yet but reviews about it seem to be very good indeed!!)

And of course "VIRTUAL BOX" if you prefer a FULL virtualization solution, rather than a simple a virtualized layer over your current system like this GAOTD and the above FREE alternatives.
However, if you use a great FREE SECURITY SUITE most people out there seem to be completely unaware of, you don't need any extra virtualized layer protection like this GAOTD and the other FREE ALTERNATIVES mentioned above.
I'm talking about COMODO INTERNET SECURITY 2013:
http://www.comodo.com/home/internet-security/free-internet-security.php
As you can see, among several amazing features, it sports an auto sandbox technology called “Virtual Kiosk” which can isolate any malicious software, you may run into surfing the web, from the rest of your system, exactly as this GAOTD actually does.
This is a key feature which is usually found in damn expensive commercial security suite tools out there like BITDEFENDER INTERNET SECURITY or NORTON INTERNET SECURITY, for instance.
Why this outstanding Security Suite is FREE of charge is a big mystery for me...but honestly, who cares?? LOL!!
Enjoy!!
Dear software provider,
I cannot find any physical address for your company. I think I might purchase this but letting someone I don't know and who is not revealing who they are is not sniffing around my data. It makes you seem somewhat unprofessional. This is the Internet and not everyone has the best of intentions...
That being said, It only hurts your audience and prospective customers by concealing thing no normal business hides.. You are not giving me who you are....I can't give money to a company that does business in this fashion.
I hope you can change this practice. No legitimate business hides so much for no reason. What is the reason? I'd be happy to consider your offering at that time that I know who you are.
Thank you as always GOTD. I do think GOTD should have an address for any GOTD software providers published with the offer. The lack of same reduces trust for everyone inc. GOTD.
Forgot to mention, this type of "rollback upon reboot" software doesn't work on software installations which require a reboot.

Buon Primo Maggio a tutti.
