The .exe is standalone and does require .NET 3.0. The .exe does not install anything. After the installation from GAOT D is finished you should have a portable .exe file called SerialSafe.exe.

The software will run from anywhere and if no .sdb is present it will create a new one on next save. If you desire to make the entire software portable, simply keep the .sdb and the .exe together in a folder.

The software is portable; however the GAOTD license is locked to a computer. The computer the software is installed on using the GAOTD installer enters a registry key to entitle the user to run it.

I am not sure why the .sdb that GAOTD included is causing problems. Simply delete it and a new one will be created and after the first save of the database it will show it registered.

For those that want the save or backup function, there is an export and selective export option that allows you to dump items to .csv, .xml and a delimited .txt file.
The software currently does not search a machine for serial information as it was not designed to do so. Not all software keeps its information in the registry and thus the scan method can be incomplete, although useful and a good recommendation for improvement.

ok concordo parzialmente con i commenti....suggerimento.....visto che mettete pw in file testo, file di altri programmi e dopo se capitano virus o che l'hd vada a marengo......non e' meglio segnare login e passwords varie su CARTA e metter il foglietto in un cassetto????? (ok, anche sotto la tastiera, nel comodino della camera da letto, ecc)......

Grandi i commenti!!! Sono d'accordo praticamente con tutti: le alternative vanno dal foglio elettronico all'elaboratore di testi passando per il semplice blocco note. Sempre grazie GAOTD, ma "'n softuer" più inutile di quello offerto oggi stento ad immaginarlo. =)
