What's inpsniffer.dll? My PCTools Threatfire alerted me it attempted to send info out and I uninstalled it for now.
Message from the Developer:
RipTiger indeed installs many modules along with it in order to successfully download many online video formats and most importantly, to do all those tasks automatically.
RipTiger also has the ability to convert videos and transfer them to iPod, that's what all those libraries are for.
There has been specific concern about the file inpsniffer.dll. This file detects online video buffering in the browser and sends it to RipTiger for automatic download.
The software is absolutely spyware and virus free. It has passed the antivirus tests of CNET's download com and other software directories.
ps: if you fail to download extra components now they will be available later, even after the giveaway period is over. RipTiger will function fine without these components installed (the online video download feature).
The registered version is called Full and it doesn't record videos from Hulu. Although the trial version has all the features of the Ultimate version and does record from Hulu. Although all controls in the player is shown (looks just like it does from your IE browser). And if your video stops and starts do to limited bandwidth, etc., RipTiger Ultimate records it just the same way.

I read all the comments, and so far have the following questions that I feel must be addressed:
1. Why is there no technical review of this software? Its the first one I've seen without the first post being a technical breakdown (or whatever you wish to call it.)
2. Why does Rip Tiger need these other programs that I have heard mentioned several times? What is there purpose? If I don't want to install them, how do I avoid it?
3. Why does Rip Tiger leave files behind when its uninstalled? What are all those files and what do they do? So far inpsniffer.dll has been taking most of the suspicion, however If there are more files than that, why? One person mentioned that the .exe file wouldn't be deleted. That combined with the fact that there are dynamic link libraries lying around makes me think that the program has a secondary function not mentioned anywhere. If this is not the case, then explain why those files are still there. If it is, then I certainly won't be downloading it.

Sono riuscita a registrarlo manualmente, con il link fornito nel commento #2... ho dovuto provarci un paio di volte perchè la connessione al server è lentissima, ma alla fine funziona!

Ok adesso è andato tutto alla perfezione, ci sono stati problemi di connessione del server che bloccava le richieste con attese di caricamento del web browser superiori hai 30 secondi.
Adesso tutto funziona e il software è possibile attivarlo mediante il link sopra fonrito.

Salve a tutti, il programma una votla installato poi non si registra.
Il campo viene pre-compilato ma poi la lincenza non viene accettata e chiede di passare all'attivazione manuale.
Seguendo le istruzione scritte sopra purtroppo viene restituito un messaggio che dice : "Wrong license code. Please check that you entered the correct code."
Come dobbiamo fare per registrare correttamente il software?

Still if you experience difficulties with activation you can try to do it manually:
go to http://www.riptiger.com/activate.php, type in your license code and your system ID and click “Request Activation Code”. Type in the activation code in RipTiger window to activate manually.

il software che danno oggi sembra interessante,peccato che non si riesca a connettere al server ne per registrare il programma ne per scaricare i componenti aggiuntivi.peccato.......
