The Good

* Once you start to create a PDF (use the printer), it won't let you stop/close the window.

I was primarily interested in PDF to Word conversion part of this software.
Opened 3 identical progress windows during installation. Otherwise installation on XP SP3 was uneventful. Now let's try to convert several PDFs. One is a huge instruction manual with lots of graphics. Others with simple layout. One in non-Latin characters.
The GUI is simple and uses colour palette similar to many Chinese-made softwares (ie Foxmail).
During conversion PDFTiger (silly name IMHO) process takes about 16M of system memory and loads CPU heavily. Conversion is fast.
The results were disappointing. In the resulted each line of text was in its own box, which makes the Word document unusable. Non-latin characters were garbled.
Caution: I do not have Microsoft Word, so I am using Open Office Writer instead. I don't think it renders the low estimate of PDFTiger's PDF to Word conversion invalid.
I just tried using PDFTiger to convert a 9.9 MB 450-page pdf file to MS Word. Below are the summary.
1. The converted MS Word file is 374.5 MB in size.
2. The texts in the MS Word file are all encased in single-line text box. This makes the document not readily editable.
As far as for pdf to word conversion, this program is not different (converted file size, layout, etc) from some of the freeware in market.
In comparison, the pdf2word given free by GAOTD in September 2008 is a much better program for this task. It will convert this 9.9 MB pdf file to a 46.5 MB, readily editable MS Word file with much better accuracy in layout.
Anonymous website. Appears to use some open-source components, although the license for that says that it can be freely incorporated into products. Installs an HP printer driver. Some other PDF virtual printers do something similar, almost certainly illegally (without permission or remuneration). I don't like that this installs routines for sending emails and uploading via FTP. Vista and higher compatibility is poor, a bunch of things got virtualized.
Terrible results in converting one PDF file to other formats. Options are generally limited to page selection, except SWF, which has a few options. Virtual PDF printer worked OK, doesn't support newer PDF versions.
If you really want to work with PDF, get Nuance PDF Converter 6.

This is actually surprisingly great :)
The screen shots do nothing for this product, The interface is actually very smooth on Vista Premium 32bit
You need your printer model at point of installing if you want to add this to your printer driver list.
Even though it said it had activated after installation, it stated on the top of the product that it was unregistered, I clicked the register button, added in the licence key included in the pack and clicked ok,
Restart the product and hey presto it was activated :)

qualche problemino lo crea,
la formattazione non è propio identica, qualche rigo si accavalla...
credo ce ne siano di meglio, come PDFconverter ma visto che è gratis...

Sinceramente non mi ha soddisfatto molto. Seppure può convertire pdf in altri formati, quando converti file in pdf non puoi mettere le opzioni come password, capacità di modifica file e tanto altro che ad esempio con la conversione di openoffice si può fare...

interessante questo programma soprattutto perchè permette di creare PDF da qualsiasi fonte, sicuramente lo proverò! Vorrei però consigliarvi anche la visione di un video tutorial dove spiego come creare con Open Office dei file PDF di livello avanzato contenenti link ipertestuali a testo o a immagini.
