I cannot think of a good reason to convert pdf to jpg.
Anyone got any suggestions why (or when) a jpg would be more useful than a pdf?
What a coincidence that this should come up now!
I spent a whole day last week looking for such a program, downloading numerous trial versions of software to see if they were any good, and deleting the lot of them for one reason or another.
The only PDF to image converter I found that did the job adequately was http://docupub.com/pdfconvert/ but that is an online tool, not a downloadable program.
I have now downloaded today's GOTD and given it a quick try out. It downloaded, installed and registered without any issues whatsoever on a Win 7 64 bit machine; it's very straight-forward to use; the output quality is controlable to fit your needs; and the results are good.
Very happy.
For those who said has never found something like this, please try "PDF-XChange Viewer" ( http://www.tracker-software.com/product/pdf-xchange-viewer ).
It is an PDF viewer and editor. It has lots of extra features including export the PDF to JPG / BMP / GIF ...
And the most important is that it is free, even for commercial use.
Nice little app. I could really use this to make slides that can't be ripped of for text content or by OCR... You can't cut n paste text from an image!
Only problem is I already have Adobe Acrobat which does what PDF to JPG 2 does and more. As does Ifranview, my office suite and several other I tried that were already on my system. (some are freeware)
So for $40 I would never, ever consider purchasing this. But if it was a Suite: JPG To PDF Converter, PDF to JPG 2 and PDF OCR together for $40 I'd buy it right now.
@3 -- I just finished a master's thesis in music composition. The finished report was required to be in PDF format, but I was also required to include scores of original compositions. My notation software saves in PDF format, but I could not have multiple files for the research committee to open. I used the FM PDF to JPG Converter Free 2.0 software from www.fm-pdf.com to convert the PDF scores to JPG, which I then inserted into my WORDdocument as pictures. The free software I use has what this giveaway has, but it is free, so I won't be changing. Thanks, anyway, GOTD.
Dannatamente veloce, ok, ma se il PDF contiene N pagine, mi aspetterei che creasse un TIFF multipagina, invece genera N files distinti, perdipiu' non compressi.
Sentenza: mi tengo Irfanview, tutta la vita :)
