@Ana; ti devo contraddire perchè ha ragione samantha61173, la licenza non è affatto definitiva, scade a gennaio 2013. In secondo luogo, se non sopporti, come me, tutto quello che ti viene proposto di installare in più è sufficiente rifiutare la richiesta durante l'installazione del programma. Al di là di questo, pensavo che il sistema di protezione funzionasse sulla cartella anche se trasportata su un altro pc, invece praticamente la "nasconde" al proprio interno quindi la protezione funziona solo sulla macchina dove è installato il programma...
Spero di essermi spiegato.

Questi tipi di software sono al 90% inutili e dannosi,non dovrebbero neanche essere proposti.Oggi pollice giù.

software semplice. l'instalazione incasinata da tutte le altre cose che ti chiede di aggiungere... odio quando fanno cosi. poi bigogna disabilitarli dal internet. ma a la fine c'è lo fatta. aaa, dimenticavo ma per essere registrato il software (se no rimane come in periodo di prova) BISOGNA COPIARE DALLA CARTELLA ESTRATA DAL FOGLIO DI BLOCCO NOTE LA CHIAVE ED INSERIRLA CLICANDO NELLA PARTE BASSA DOVE C'E' SCRITO DI REGISTRARE IL SOFTWARE E QUANTO E TEMPO RIMASTO PER PROVARLA. DOPO AVERLA INSERITA IL PROGRAMMA VIENNE REGISTRATO DEFINITIVAMENTE. BUONA FORTUNA A TUTTI.

The first questions I ask about such programs are:
1. Is the protection still valid in Safe Mode
2. Is the protection still valid if the hard disk is viewed using a boot disk (or similar means).
3. Can the hidden folder be viewed by accessing the disk content directly.
4. Is the hidden content encrypted.

None of these issues is addressed on the site, as far as I can see.

So how can we begin to decide if this is worth trying?

(I'm sure others will suggest freeware options).

I used this for a while, I liked it a lot for it's easyness it works great really.

A big dislike (and very strange) however is that you need to pay every year. Also very unclear what encryption is used therefor unclear how secure it really it.

But overall IObit makes very good software.
