You obviously haven't used this program. It's more powerful than you could ever imagine.
First, you might be able to do everything this program can do with Task Scheduler. But you'd have to create multiple tasks to do it, and it's much easier to do it with this program. You see all the possible settings at once with each alarm you're creating in this program, so you don't have to navigate through a wizard based interface. It's so much easier to see everything at once when you finish making the task, because of the design of the program. And you don't have to deal with all the existing tasks with Task Scheduler, because lots of programs create their own tasks. With this, it's just your alarms, timers, and birthdays. And even if you had a lot, you can sort or filter them really easily. Just drag the column header to the area just above, and bam. Even add in multiple headers to filter...
This program looks really nice. Not sure if you checked it out, but there are quite a lot of good looking themes. There are also many appearance options, including the ribbon interface, quick access toolbar, aero, app menu button, and other general appearance options.
Each alarm or timer can have multiple actions included with it. Of the list of what you can do from the program, you have the ability to run a program, open a link, send an email, and shutdown/restart/etc options. This comes along with the general options an alarm clock/timer has, like playing a sound (from the 13 included with the program), repeating options (like a specified number of times/until the message is closed and the time for a pause between sounds), and volume/fading options. I don't think you can choose to have your alarm tone fade in over a period of 20 seconds on Task Manager, now could you?
Granted, this program might not be for everyone. But there's no way you can say the Task Manager from Windows is just as powerful. And if you tried the program (instead of posting a comment 3 minutes after the giveaway went up), you'd see that.
Vista 32bit. Downloaded, Installed, Registered flawlessly. I must say that other than the skins options, not much more to this alarm clock program than most of the free or OpenSource ones. Interface easy to use, easy to set alarms, okay to use. If I had to pay the asking price, plainly said, I wouldn't. But, thank you Comfort Software Group and GAOTD for letting me try this one out.
Just 34% THUMBS UP for this nice tool??
Come on folks...don't tell me you believed in what #1 said about this app: have you ever used the (poor) Windows Task Scheduler built-in option in Windows?
How can it be compared with this GAOTD??? Come on...LOL!!

Win7UE 64 bits. No hurdles installing, and I agree with //1 Greg - The skin feature is pretty nice. I don't think 20$ is a bit too much to charge, when you can get a free alarm as Vector Clocks or my fave, which wakes me up, and indeed my pc from hibernation as well. Anyway, I'll keep it....only because it looks nice compared to my usual alarm clock. Please excuse me my English. It isn't my native language, as you might have discovered. Thanks to the team behind GOTD and Comfort Software Group

I agree with Pluto @#6. Some of the critics need to do a LITTLE research before commenting. Looks like a decent program that is worth a try. It does a lot of the things that some are asking for in their comments. Thanks Comfort Software Group and GOTD, you guys are great.
Fra i tre software piu' inutili del nuovo millennio questo un posto lo conquista di sicuro... E siamo solo all'inizio del millennio...

Mi chiedo spesso cosa pensi chi sviluppa programmi.

bah..
