Berger3, no, this program is not about a reversible compression, it does scale down (resize) the resolution of the images.

I use XnShell extension, free and super easy to use with a right click in the Windows File Explorer.
XnView, IrfanView, FastStone....all are good.

FWIW, I prefer XnView [xnview[.]com] because of its ability to also rotate jpg images without recompressing -- true lossless.

I downloaded this. Fortunately made a restore point before install. The software EULA insists that you also agree to install Adobe code because it uses some element from Adobe. I then installed the software, got the serial code and duly activated the software. The user interface is very minimal and amateurish.
It cannot open a folder. You have to manually click and pull selected photos on to the top left corner patch. I chose to output to my preferred folder.
Guess what? It crashed. FAILED to work. An error window message popped up. It read as follows:

Server Busy
This action cannot be completed because the "Fast
Resize" program is not responding. Choose "Switch
To" and correct the problem.
Switch To... Retry Cancel (greyed out)
...............................................
You cannot exit this error message window nor close it.
I had to use Task Manager to close the software.
And.... why is it saying SERVER BUSY ???
That means every time you use it, the software connects to an external server and what does it do to your PC and the information inside it?
I uninstalled this.
And then to be safe, did a System Restore to remove all the remnants in Registry.
I noticed that this seems to be Germany authored.
From my past experience with Germany authored software, I have a bad impression of them. This case has reinforced that impression.
Free software such as Faststone Image Resize is much better.
