I downloaded the previous giveaway and found out about the resources for the free audiobooks at the same time. There's the proprietary downloader/player for the online paid audiobook services that are something else of course which I had used previously. Audiobooks are truly great. Some people similarly to myself, have difficulties with staying focused on the printed page. Free audiobooks are the public domain. But let me introduce this concept a little bit better than previous posters have. One of the resources called LibriVox, is a volunteer organization dedicated to creating audiobooks of public domain books that do include the classics. I downloaded several works by Jane Austin using Audiobooks Pro but also found that the program let me sort out the versions of it, but it is possible to both find and download these items without any program. They are on websites. Hearing through the painstaking chapters of Pride And Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Lady Susan were enlightening experiences for me. There are more I'd like to hear.

Many people may not be aware of the extent to which these classics are referenced in the modern works. For example, the motion picture "Clueless" is an adaptation of Jane Austen's "Emma", and one scene in the motion picture "Burlesque" verbatim repeats a dialogue of that same story. I've heard so much about the significance of Moby Dick and have never read it. So I've just downloaded the audiobook, and it is the next thing I'd like to listen to.

Audiobook Downloader Pro gives search capabilities that you can use without knowing where something is located or if it exists. Try it, I suggest, to seek things that you may like to catch up on for the sake of literary equality with those who had learned these works. Literature is still important in our modern popular culture. Any books people mention that you don't know what people mean? I go through that all of the time. Dear users, this is a quick start guide for Audiobook Downloader Pro:

1. Download and install the program, then run it. This giveaway is already activated, so you do not need to deal with serial numbers. (Do note that the regular installable version is highly recommended for you instead of the portable edition, which is for experienced users)
2. On the main window, type-in a search query into the corresponding field, then hit “Enter”. The search string may be a book name, author, or a language name (for instance: “Bible”, “Mark Twain”, or “German”).
3. You can access an audiobook summary by selecting a search result item, and then calling the File -> Open Audiobook Page menu command.
4. Download an audiobook (File -> Download Audiobook), then listen and enjoy it!

It's a nice program, only thing is that... Freeware (public domain) books are old, and mostly... Well, not that interesting to own for your e-reader. Sure, it's literaruture - but that's about it usually : )

So, enjoy if you are a reader of the Classics. If not, skip this. Google will give you the same results. Or one of the many many many we bcollections online...

Audiobooks are a great way to learn or improve the listening and speaking skills of a foreign language (English in my case…LOL!)

Was eager to try this out. Downloaded and installed on Windows 7. No need to register. Tried to download two different books but it just stayed on 0% for each one until it timed out.

Bit disappointed and hope the problem can be sorted out.
