I respectfully want to let everyone know that the US Gov't has been wanting to "Record" Skype calls for some time and had even offered a $4Billion dollar contest to hack Skype to record it..this is because Skype uses no "master encryption keys", but instead users generate encryption keys between each other therefore conversations are hard to "tap"..or intercept and reassemble...this keeps you safe. I would put any software that records Skype under serious suspect and advise you all to seriously think about this before installing any such software. - Skype was bought by eBay for $4.2 Billion with an agreement that Skype would stay an European company, then eBay began to lose money on it and wanted to get rid of it.. MS stepped up to the plate, valued still around $4Billion they bought Skype for 2x of what its worth.. hmm where did this extra $4Billion come from... prob in my guess the US Govt.. so they can get their dirty little paws on it.. its all "Google'able".. I remember reading the "Skype Hacking contest" as if it were yesterday with total disbelief that the US Govt would even offer that much for some thing like this... ask yourself Why..

Well, despite being one of the best Skype Recording Tools on the market right now, it looks like this GAOTD is not the last version of this program (v 5.0), which supports VIDEO RECORDING as well (including Video Games).

So THUMBS UP from me with some reservations though, because it seems to me that the developer of this nice tool has given us the previous limited edition of this program in order to induce us to buy the last one supporting video recordings.

If you are willing to spend some mooney for this kind of software my suggestion is to buy a license od SUPERTINTIN, which is far better than today's giveaway.

Personally, I believe that the easiest and maybe most flawless way to record VIDEO CALLS is to use FREE SCREEN CAPTURE APPS like CAMSTUDIO, SUPER PICK 4.0 or even FREE real-time game or screen recorder like YOURECORDER FREE EDITION, since they can all capture in real time anything you see or hear on the computer screen!!

That being said, among the FREEWARE ALTERNATIVES to record chats, calls and, unlike today's giveway, even VIDEO CALLS for FREE, my first choice is definitely a FREE TOOL called "ooVoo".

This is a stunning video conferencing and chat application coming with an amazingly built-in FREE VIDEO RECORDING OPTION, a feature that, as far as I know, is missing in any other similar FREE APP and even in many of its shareware competitors out there.
