I've downloaded and installed this software out of curiosity. I'm trying to see the value of this tool: that only provides shortcuts to built-in dxdiag.exe, to setup.exes, and to the URLs of the DX installers on the MS website.
The repair and restore features are about providing links to the DXsetup in i386/ on your original Windows OS install CD, or to a more recent DXsetup you might have downloaded.
There really is nothing else here in this software package. It is a software wrapper around 4 links!
This has to be one of the most useless, featureless pieces of software I have ever seen. It beggars belief that is can be sold for money.
Can anyone provide me with an example of a DirectX problem?!
I really don't think this software is of any use whatsoever; for example, when using the reinstall Direct X it firstly tells you to download the latest version, then make sure you've run the epair module, then to close down the internet. All you need to do to reinstall Direct X is to do exactly that, download the latest version, unpack it the execute the file. Simple. Why do we need to create a back up copy. no reason to whatsoever. Repair is also useless, you just need to download the latest version from Microsoft.
Apart from that, the program seems to focus only on the Direct X that's associated with your operating system, for example XP with Direct X v9.0c, Vista with Direct X v10 and Win 7 with Direct X 11. Even tohugh I do use Direct X v11 for several of the latest games most still use Direct X v9.0c, but this program only tries to repair and back up Direct X v11
There are a few niggles as well. Once the program is registered it still retains the registered button in the help window and it would be nice if there was a decent help file with video tutorials.
As always, went to check website first and was dismayed to see typos and assorted grammatical errors (along with a link guaranteeing high "commision" instead of commission)that didn't inspire a great deal of confidence.
The worst part? The ratings notifications at the bottom that sent up red flags galore in WOT (and look identical in most cases).
Sorry, but your website has to impress me before I start to download the product and this one has too many goofs and suspicious links to warrant my further attention.
Not to mention wrong information. Since when has a DirectX failure caused anyone to need to reinstall their entire operating system, as opposed to reinstalling DirectX?

Ho parlato troppo presto. Ancora una volta, inseriti dati per la registrazione, il sotware si è riavviato facendomi apparire ancora una volta la schermata blu ed il sistema si è riavviato. Dovrò disinstallarlo.

Una volta installato, il programma parte e poi, immediatamente, mi appare la schermata blu di Windows ed il sistema si riavvia. Non so se è capitato anche ad altri o se c'è una incompatibilità con qualche altro software installato sul mio computer. Ho provato per ben tre volta, ma invano. Penso che sarò costretto a disinstallarlo.
