This GAOTD does the job quite well, but if you had installed "Process Lasso" when it was offered here for FREE a few weeks ago, you don't need this tool because "Process Lasso" is far superior in my view.
It comes with a nice auto-start and services module, which helps you get rid of unneeded services, but the freeware and portable app " " does the same and even more for FREE (besides award-winning WinPatrol, of course), since it can even detect malicious rootkit services hidden behind legitimate Windows services running Local System privileges:

Overall today's giveaway is a good product, but in my opinion this kind of programs are very effective only for old machines with old and slow CPU, so if you have a DUAL CORE or a QUADCORE PC/LAPTOP just skip it!!

As you see, some years old, but usefull!

Don't expect too much of this program; most programs cannot run across all cores as the compilers have no idea the sequence of events, where they really come into their own is when the program handles large amounts of data such as video.
In this type of scenario the data can be split into chunks and the operations performed on the data.
Personally I'm having trouble getting this program to run, possibly because I blocked certain aspects of it with Winpatrol.
Warning, this program requires your working email for registration.
Then expect multiple "personal upgrade offers" from Ashampoo every week.
Win XP SP3
I already have Process Lasso Pro v6502 which appears to do the same thing.
Does anyone have a comparison of the two which is best, and can you install Ashampoo Core Tuner 2 Ver.2.01 and Process Lasso without any conflict ?

Grazie Ashampoo per questo magnifico programma dato gratuitamente oggi. Dopo l'installazione ho visto il mio pc accelerare tutte le operazioni e anche i software più pesanti si avviano in frazioni di secondi diversamente da prima. Alcuni programmi che crashavano perché non avevano una "priorità" adesso con l'assegnazione di una "priorità" non crashano più. Il programma avvia un servizio che occupa per "0%" la cpu... incredibile ma vero! I programmi si avviano secondo le priorità impostate o richieste dal sistema e che Core Tuner 2 veicola facendo da perfetto mediatore tra i vari processi. Ho scritto personalmente a Ashampoo per ringraziare di questa magnifica opportunità... per chi non sapesse come funziona la politica di Ashampoo ecco alcuni chiarimenti:
1) Vi registrate un account gratuito su Ashampoo
2) Quando richiedete Chiavi di loro prodotti vi dovete loggare ricordandovi la password con la quale avete creato il vostro account
3) Successivamente riceverete nella vostra mailbox la chiave di attivazione senza spendere un cent!

PS: in passato ho provato anche Process Lasso offerto come giveaway ma al confronto con Core Tuner 2 non c'è paragone imho.

Buongiorno, ho appena scaricato Ashampoo Core Tuner 2 Ver.2.01.
Non c'è il codice di attivazione nel read me.
La procedura mi rimanda al sito della casa produttrice che mi richiede la mail, una volta immessa non va più avanti.
Che cosa bisogna fare?
