The Good
* Acts like a plugin for Outlook making it a easier, in theory, to import/use contacts and e-mails you have already inputted into Outlook.
* Integrates with Outlook so when you create a task, appointment, etc. you can add it to MLPM also.
* Allows you to create unlimited projects and projects within projects.
* Has a built in search tool allowing you to search your projects for specific things.
* Has a feature allowing you to choose what "state" the project is in (green, yellow, red being the symbolic colors).
The Bad
* You must have Outlook to use.
* Poorly programmed.
* Not fully integrated into Outlook.
* The method to add in already created contacts, tasks, appointments, e-mails, etc. is rather annoying at times.
* No option to set the start and end times for projects.
* No "normal" importance/priority option.
* No MissingLink toolbar for "Notes" or "Journal".
* No real way to "share" the project progress/information with other project members (no sync like feature).

Well, I don't use Outlook, but if I did, I probably wouldn't use this because it "offloads all of your email messages, files, and attachments to an industry-standard database system", so you're in trouble if they don't keep it updated for new versions of Windows, etc., depending upon just how "industry-standard". Further, you wouldn't be able to use the considerable capabilities of Windows Search 4, which has specific support for Outlook, including future dates (for scheduled items; when I first saw future-date support, I thought the tech-writers goofed--"great, I can search for files which don't exist yet").

I feel that the software although pretty and very interesting, is somewhat buggy. Outlook crashed and the only way I could stop the process was by using Task Manager. Most of the MissingLink Project text input fields in the add-on at the bottom of the email were missing. Now is that a comment on the software functionality or a technical problem?
I suspect the former, but this comment will doubtless receive multiple thumbs down, even though I would prefer the developer to do what he has done in so many other places on the Web - restore my faith in this software before I uninstall it.
#4: You and I (and Moore Solutions, for that matter!) clearly have very different ideas of what 'project management' software is.
To me, project management means the ability to allocate, track, and manage resources and tasks. A better description of today's giveaway would be a 'personal project organiser' because all it does is GROUP Outlook items together. Does it tell you (e.g.) how many of your developers are working on any tasks today, or tomorrow, or next week? Can it make tasks dependent (e.g. task B cannot start until task A ends)? Does it give you a timeline chart, showing your project tasks or resources (or selected items)? Simple answer to all of the above: NO.
And Zimbra Desktop (a Yahoo! product, incidentally), while it may be a viable replacement for Outlook if you're broke (or don't want to use Outlook for whatever reason), also does NOT contain any of those REAL project management features. Perhaps it can 'group' existing items as today's GOTD does (I only had a quick look at its feature list); but again, it does NOT contain what any project manager would call project management facilities.

Effettivamente un po' limitato ... solo per OutLook.

+ Mozilla Sunbird con Lightning (chiamato anche progetto Calendar)
"Lightning" è un'ottima integraziona al programma "Sunbird" che permette di ottenere un programma simile ad Outlook

Ma vi starete chiedendo ... cosa sta succedendo nella vostra telenovelas "preferita" ?
Cerbotto ormai la notte non riesce più a dormire. Come fare ad attirare l'attenzione del pubblico di GOTD sui suoi piatti e scialbi messaggi?
Questa domanda disturba la quiete della mente del povero Cerbotto.
"Devo essere il primo a postare... Devo essere il primo a postare..." nella sua mente (?) ormai solo questo pensiero aleggia ...
..così, come se dovesse prendere l'aereo per partire per le vacanze (e forse sarebbe stato meglio), si mette davanti al computer in attesa della nuova offerta di GOTD. Tempo della sua vita sprecato ... col solo pensiero ossessivo di postare un messaggio sul sito.
Passano così i secondi, i minuti, le ore e finalmente ... è giunto il momento!
Inizia il copia/incolla da altri forum, frenetico, ossessivo ... finchè alla fine non preme il pulsante giallo ... "Invia il commento".
'E il primo! Un sorriso si stampa sulla faccia stanca di Cerbotto e, soddisfatto, chiude il computer.
Ma dopo solo 30 minuti ... un impulso irrefrenabile, irresistibile, costringe il povero Cerbotto a accendere il computer e spedire un altro messaggio ... la dipendenza a GOTD ormai è completa.
Giovi 69, nel frattempo, vede che Cerbotto ha postato per primo.
Inviperito decide che posterà solo in inglese. Ma questa volta niente alternative free per colpa di Cerbotto.
"I poveri utenti di GOTD rimarranno a secco ... questa volta" .. esclama tra se e se medesimo (NdR anche perchè, nessuno l'ascolterebbe...)
Tutto per colpa di Cerbotto che è solo capace di "COPY & PASTE COMMENT" ... al contrario di lui.
Fiorella, disperata per non poter "gustare" il suo Calippo alla banana perde il controllo (anche perchè non prende le pastiglie del Dr Who).
Ormai, giorno e notte, passa la sua vita davanti al computer ... sul sito di GAOTD. Ossessione infinita, irresistibile la sua presenza in quel sito.
Le "personalità multiple" di Fiorella affiorano dalla sua mente. Una serie di messaggi Copia/Incolla senza fine ormai ... è quello che rimane della sua vita.
Con la bava alla bocca e con gli occhi sbarrati davanti al suo monitor (lo so, immagine raccapriciante) inizia a postare commenti su commenti, cambiando continuamente il proprio nick: "vanya postero di la (quella finta)", "postero_di_la", "c19591959", Davide "Pirolo", Koil (quello finto), ecc.
Molti si chiedono perchè lo fa ... (ma non si può dire tutto subito).
Nel frattempo Dr Who aveva capito chi si celava dietro questi "personaggi" (...non ringraziarmi eh ).
Capisce subito che la sua paziente (la signorina Fiorella) non aveva preso le pastiglie che gli aveva prescritto.
"No, ho sbagliato!" ... esclama il Dr Who ... "... avrei dovuto prescrivergli le supposte !!!" (...si, ma al gusto banana, mi raccomando).
Ad un certo punto bussano alla porta dello studio del buon dottore.
"Avanti!" dice il dottore ... la porta si apre ed entra ... il Sig. McAfe (Ndr volutamente chiamato in questo modo)
Chi è il Sig. McAfe ?
Cosa ci fa nello studio di "Doc" (Dr Who, abbreviazione amichevole) ?
Cosa succederà domani ?
Lo saprete soltanto seguendo la vostra telenovelas preferita...

At first I thought it would be a nice application.
However it has turned out to be too buggy, sluggish and annoying to use, not to mention that you must have Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 to use it but even if you have it it's lacking in several key features.
So 2 HUGE THUMBS DOWN from the inimitable SPECIAL ONE!!
Personally I know several good FREEWARE ALTERNATIVES to this but given your idiotic messages and little brain (see Cerbotto Pirlotto COPY & PASTE COMMENT above) I don't think that my suggestions would be of interest to you....LOL!
